Jen Garcia passed away in October, 2016 from pancreatic cancer. Jen lived in Johnston while teaching in Saydel and Urbandale. She absolutely loved having an impact on young lives. Her family wanted to find a way to continue her legacy, so they came up with the idea of an annual speaker series where they could bring in inspiring individuals from around the world to speak to future leaders of Iowa.
